NHJ Style Consultancy scheduled sessions will take place between the hours of 9am and 6pm. Exceptions will be made for evening and weekend consultations at the stylists' discretion.


All bookings must be made at least a week in advance to avoid disappointment. To make an appointment please call 020 3109 0388 or email us. All fees are due in full before the start of a consultation.


There may be situations when rescheduling a confirmed booking by a client is necessary. There is no extra charge for this unless it happens more than three times. If this is the case there will be an additional charge of £25 per reschedule. We ask that you give us as much notice as possible, ideally at least 48 hours' notice.


If for any reason you are unable to make your appointment, you must inform NHJ Style Consultancy at least 48 hours before the scheduled time. If less than 48 hours notice is given, 50% of your fee will be forfeited. If more than 48 hours notice is given we will deduct a £50 admin fee when refunding the fee.

Travel Expenses

Travel expenses for the stylists are extra if the client is based outside of London / M25 for the Wardrobe Warrior service. These are charged at 25p per mile there and back or a standard return train fare. The agreed amount is to be paid to the stylist on the day. If you are buying our personal styling services as a Gift Voucher you can pay for the travel expenses yourself - please inform our client managers of this on booking. If you are based outside of London / M25 we will match you with a stylist based close to you if possible to keep travel expenses to a minimum.

Client Background Forms

To ensure you get the most out of your session please complete your Client Background form at least 1 week prior to your session.

Ongoing Support

Once your NHJ Style session is over, your stylist will continue to provide you with support. Should you have any questions, call her between 9am and 6pm, but please limit these calls to 5-10 minutes each. Should you require additional style advice or shopping support at some point in the future, please contact NHJ Style Consultancy to arrange a session. From time to time a member of the NHJ Style Consultancy management team may contact you to ensure you are satisfied with the service your stylist is providing.

Come to your Personal Styling sessions prepared:

Wardrobe Warrior

  • Before your stylist arrives, we request that you arrange your wardrobe into like items. For example, group all your trousers together, shirts together etc.
  • Identify the clothes and accessories that you love and can't imagine living without. Your goal is to only keep those things that make you look and feel fantastic.
  • Spend some time going through magazines and picking out pictures of fashions or styles you particularly like.
  • Take a moment to focus on the things you want to discuss or the image you would like to achieve.

Style Shopper

  • Make sure you have a good breakfast before embarking on your shopping spree. Shopping requires a lot of energy. You may also want to bring a small bottle of water with you.
  • Ensure you wear comfortable clothes that can be easily removed; constantly changing in and out of your clothes can be time consuming and exhausting.
  • Bring any pieces of your clothing that you wish to match e.g. if you are a women a top you want to find a skirt for, or if you are a man a shirt you would like to find a jacket for.
  • Please inform your stylist if you have budget constraints; this may affect the shops she selects.
  • Ladies...bring a pair of shoes with you, that you are most likely to wear with your clothes, preferably something with a heel, unless you are extremely tall.
  • Ladies...make sure you wear or bring a bra to try on with tops or dresses.

Be willing to:

  • Have a lot of fun.
  • Experiment and try new things.
  • Be transformed.... if you so desire.
  • Love yourself - one of the secrets to looking and feeling amazing is learning to love the way you are!

All gift vouchers for our personal styling services are valid for six months from date of purchase.


If the person you give the personal styling gift voucher to finds it unsuitable we are happy to refund you up to 28 days from the date of purchase less a £50 admin fee.

Arranging Sessions

The receiver of the personal styling gift voucher will just need to call us on 0845 430 9388 or email us and we will arrange the rest. If the receiver of the personal styling gift voucher lives outside of London this is not usually a problem as we have stylists throughout the UK who are happy to travel for wardrobe, make-up and hair sessions. However, we do charge travel expenses for these sessions. These are either paid to the personal stylist on the day or you may prefer to pay the travel expenses upfront for the person you are buying a gift for. If this is the case please inform our client managers in advance.

Entry requirements

In order to protect us against copyright and to confirm your identity, once you have registered for the course you will be requested to do the following:

  1. submit a copy of your passport,
  2. submit one other form of ID with proof of address e.g. utility bill, or driving licence,
  3. read, sign and send back our Terms & Conditions to us.

We will only send you the first module once you've submitted these details to us. When we've received them, we will email you the first module within 2 working days.

No part of this course may be reproduced, shared, or transmitted, in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without the prior written permission of NHJ Style. NHJ Style expressly disclaims all liability to any person in respect of any losses or other claims, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or otherwise arising in relation to the use of such materials.


On successful completion of the course you will be emailed a certificate endorsed by the course tutor and Nicky Hambleton-Jones. This will only be emailed to you once so please keep in a safe place. As this correspondence course leads to certification by NHJ Style it is important that you complete each module to our satisfaction. Therefore, after the first module, subsequent modules will only be emailed to you once you have completed and submitted the tasks for the previous module. These tasks will then be reviewed and if acceptable, the following module will be sent out to you.


The personal styling correspondence course can be paid in full or module by module to help you spread the cost of the course. You will only receive a module once payment's been received. All fees stated are inclusive of VAT.

Methods of payment

Fees can be paid by debit or credit card over the phone. 

Cancellations and refunds

This is an outstanding course and you will really enjoy doing it, but if for unforeseen circumstances you are unable to complete the course, our refund policy is as follows:

  • If you cancel after signing up for the course, but before you've received module 1, we will refund what you have paid less a £100 admin fee.

It is not possible for us to give any refunds for modules which have already been sent out to you.

  • If you have only paid the deposit and received module 1 you will not be refunded.
  • If you have paid for the course in full but cancel after receiving module 1 you will receive a full refund less the cost of 1 module and a £100 admin fee.
  • If you have paid for the course in full but cancel after receiving module 2 you will receive a full refund less the cost of 2 modules and a £100 admin fee.
  • If you have paid for the course in full but cancel after receiving module 3 you will not be entitled to a refund except in exceptional circumstances, and only at our discretion.

If we discover you aren't who you claim to be we will stop sending you further modules and you will forfeit any money you have paid to date. If you do wish to cancel your place on the course at any time please email us immediately.  


Each correspondence course must be completed by one person only and this must be the person who has registered for the course. Substitutions are not permitted at any time during the course. If we discover that more than one person has completed the same course; you will not graduate from the course.


You can complete the course at your own pace but to qualify for a certificate you must complete the course within a 12 month period from the date you commit i.e. register and pay a deposit.

Assessment and feedback

The tutor will assess and give feedback on each module within 2 weeks of submission. If the tutor is ill or unable to send back feedback for other reasons we will make every effort to pass submitted tasks to another qualified tutor for assessment to meet this timeframe. If the tutor does not feel you have completed a module satisfactorily you may be asked to re-do certain tasks before we send you the next module.

Work experience

Work experience is not an official part of the correspondence course. However, after you have completed the correspondence course you can request a day of work experience, and if possible we will arrange this for you. This will take place in the UK, and all personal shopping days take place in London. You will be required to pay for your own travel and accommodation expenses. If a student commits to a work experience opportunity but then cancels we won't be able to offer any further work experience sessions. The work experience day must be taken within 3 months after the course ends unless otherwise agreed with the course tutor.

Trading and product names

None of NHJ Style Consultancy's trading or product names may be used by students in any way without our written consent. Reference to 'Nicky Hambleton-Jones' may not be used by students to promote themselves without our written consent. Students who have successfully completed the course are welcome to say on marketing materials that they have successfully completed a Personal Styling Course at the NHJ Style Academy.

Corporate Events:


Full fees are to be paid at least one week prior to the event taking place.


If a confirmed corporate event is cancelled one week or less before it is due to take place, there will be a cancellation fee of 50% of the total cost.
