Delicate ice cream tones are the way to make a subtle statement this season so if Millennial Pink hasn’t tempted you thus far, there is a full palette of pastels in store from lemon to lavender and periwinkle to pistachio to update your style for Spring/Summer 2018.

During fashion month, the catwalk collections were swathed in chalky tones with all the big names embracing the power of pastels. Victoria Beckham worked them into suits and tailoring with the inner construction visible through the semi-sheer fabrics, Cèline combined powder pink and yellow in a blazer and skirt look while Tom Ford’s blush cosmetic-toned creations broke up the bright block colours and black looks in his collection.

Scoop up some sorbet shades into your wardrobe and layer within one outfit for maximum impact. It’s the perfect solution for occasion dressing but to keep your look contemporary and less like a bridesmaid, the key is to wear a single shade top to toe. With one-colour outfits the focus is on texture and fabric to create interest and depth

Style Tip: Lilac is the go-to hue for Spring/Summer 2018 so if you only want to dip your toe into the pool of pastels on the high street, go mauve.
