What to Expect from NHJ Style Network
What to Expect from NHJ Style Network
Now in its third year, the NHJ Style Network has built a community of like-minded stylists to share knowledge, offer support and build upon the skills required for every stylist in today's fast-paced world of fashion. But is the NHJ Style Network for you? We break it down to show you what to expect from membership of the only network of its kind.
Whether an established Personal Stylist, new on the styling scene or looking for the first steps to a career in fashion and styling, the NHJ Style Network offers advice and support from the NHJ Style team and shared experiences from all members through instant messaging, expert-led masterclasses throughout the year, in-depth trend reports combined with an introduction to the season with a trend masterclass plus networking opportunities. The Style Network evolves to meet the needs of its members, tailoring workshops to offer the skills and advice most in demand.
At the start of each season members receive a comprehensive Trend Report written exclusively for the NHJ Style Network. This 40+ page report covers everything a Personal Stylist needs to kick start the season with confidence for styling their clients and takes away the hard work and time consuming task of of researching catwalk trends and thinking how to tailor these on the high street to suit all shapes, sizes and ages.
Fashion magazines and style websites produce trends reports every season and while useful as an overview, it's the in-depth focus into the key trends and how to translate these from the runway to real life for real women with real and varied body-shapes and lifestyles across different budgets that makes the NHJ Style Network Seasonal Trend Reports an essential tool for every Personal Stylist, wherever you are in the world.
NHJ Style Network Trend Reports are released in February for Spring/Summer and September for Autumn/Winter seasons. Worth £200 per season.
To tie in with the start of the season and release of the Trend Reports, NHJ Style's Styling & Training Director Isobel Kershaw presents a Trends Masterclass to talk through the key trends in a retail environment with clothing to hand to demonstrate how to style the trends, key updaters for clients' wardrobes and styling the trends to suit different bodyshapes and lifestyles.
Each Trend Masterclass includes a guest brand presenter to add insight into what to expect throughout the season. Ted Baker, House of Fraser and Reiss have all contributed to Trend Masterclasses sharing insider tips and brand-specific knowledge on prints, production and fabrics used within the collections, all of which add value to your services as knowledge to pass on to your clients.
If you can't attend the Trends Masterclass, you won't miss out as each one is filmed so you will receive a members-only video link to watch the full class afterwards. Joining mid season? You'll still receive the current season Trend Report and a video of the Trend Masterclass to get up to speed for the rest of the season and won't have to wait long until the next Trend Report is released and Trend Masterclass held.
Trend Masterclass worth £200 per season.
Throughout the year the NHJ Style Network holds masterclasses covering a variety of skills required by Personal Stylists to add value to your business and build your brand. From social media to presentation skills and make-up masterclasses for your own presentation (every stylist needs a go-to long-lasting make-up look for those busy days styling!) the classes on offer vary to suit demand and popular courses are run annually to include new members too.
Members receive a 50% discount on all payable masterclasses. Most masterclasses are priced at £100 and also open to non-members.
