Stylist Training Team
The stylist training team at NHJ Style Academy have years of experience styling men and women of all ages, shapes and sizes. With a variety of backgrounds including fashion design, retail, fashion journalism, celebrity styling, personal shopping, TV and magazine styling, the wealth of knowledge they bring to each course means that students get an in-depth and well-rounded perspective on what it takes to be a successful stylist in the fashion industry today. In addition to the NHJ Style Academy training team, students often have the opportunity meet other NHJ Style Consultancy personal stylists and past students to ask questions about working in the industry.
Presenting Channel 4's 10 Years Younger, the UK's leading makeover show, and the success of her own personal styling business have made Nicky a household name, providing inspiration and motivation for millions of men and women UK-wide. As a top personal stylist and qualified Dietician, Nicky believes that everyone has the potential to look fantastic effortlessly.
Nicky Hambleton-Jones moved to London from South Africa in 1996 and having spotted a gap in the market launched her own personal styling business, NHJ Style Consultancy, in 2001. At the time it was the first personal style consultancy of its kind and the start of a whole new industry. The business quickly went from strength to strength and, to date, has more than 10,000 clients on its books, from across the UK, Europe and worldwide.
As the business grew finding experienced personal stylists to style her growing client base was proving difficult, so Nicky and her team set up the NHJ Style Academy to train and develop the best personal styling talent in the UK.
With the growth of the personal styling industry, more and more retailers are now offering in-house personal shopping services, most of which don't generate a good return on investment and fail to improve the customers overall shopping experience. With the success of our Flagship Personal Styling courses, we quickly realised there was a huge opportunity for us to support retailers in developing and maintaining world class personal shopping services. As a result, Nicky and her team of experienced personal stylists and trainers now work closely with some of the UK's biggest retailers to train and develop their personal shopping teams.
Viewed as the UK's leading lifestyle transformation agent, Nicky has worked with some of the UK's largest household brands, is a popular speaker and author of the bestselling books - 10 Years Younger, and 10 Years Younger Nutrition Bible, and more recently Top to Toe and How to Be Gorgeous.
