Americana than gingham, which was also a favourite on Christopher Kane's catwalk. It's much fresher than the ubiquitous tropical (dare we say Hawaiian) prints, and more casual and easy than a floral shirt. Wear untucked and open over a white T-shirt with jeans, or tucked in and buttoned up with chinos and tan brogues.
