Figure Fixing Tops for Spring Summer
Figure Fixing Tops for Spring Summer
Spring is here at last, which means it's finally time to shed those extra winter layers! But that also means baring those areas that have been safely hidden away for months! Here's some help on how to update your spring wardrobe with a figure fixing top...
Hiding a tum
Loose-fitting tops in floaty fabrics are ideal for disguising a rounded tum - and they are very on trend this spring. Try a longer length and slightly flared shape to hide any extra rolls, and a pretty ruffled neckline will help draw the eye upwards and away from your midriff.
Boosting a small bust
Ruffles are a huge story for spring, which is great news for flat-chested ladies. They can look fussy on larger chests, so they look best on smaller busts, and they're a fantastic way to give the illusion of a few extra inches - much more subtle than padding and push up bras!
Creating a waist
Create curves with a voluminous top to give you a waist - even if you're as straight as a pencil. A wide neckline gives proportion to shoulders and waist. Then if you mix with a horizontal striped pencil skirt you will have a Beyonce-style butt to die for. The result? A perfect hourglass figure.
Balancing a pear shape
Pairing a light or brightly-coloured top - such as bright coral - with dark denim instantly helps slim wide hips. A halter neck top will also give the illusion of broader shoulders, which balance a bottom-heavy shape. Detail around the chest will also give volume up top, ideal for pear shaped ladies.
